About Me

National Holistic Institute has given me the tools in many modalities in western and eastern segments to assist in clients’ needs. After graduation from NHI with a letter of excellence, I've continued to better my techniques and knowledge to become as well rounded in my present moment. My previous experience stems from practicing at a student clinic, at a Chiropractic office, under the guidance of a seasoned Massage therapist, Physical therapist, and personally experiencing different modalities of massage therapy. This knowledge has assisted me in client needs, time management, session strategies to better help you. I have developed a vast knowledge of various aspects of massage therapy, which allows me to provide you with sessions that are tailored for you. A mixture of modalities listed below will be used in some or all sessions. Once again dependant on the day your body is having.

Deep Tissue - Deep tissue massage uses slow sustained pressure to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. The technique mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues.

Scraping - Much like Gua Sha without the direct idea of energy work like moving stagnant energy. The technique follows, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM). Using a tool to help open up and allow less fascial restriction and that could look like muscle tightness. Using IASTM then following up with DT can be beneficial.

MFT - Myofascial Therapy.  myo- = muscle, and fascia = connective tissue. Primary the two stokes help bring back pliability to the muscle.  Longitudinal release works by lengthening of the affected muscle to help improve range of motion. Cross fiber friction is to reduce pain and adhesions through soft tissue, performed with increased pressure in the muscle fibers.

Percussion gun - Allowing the repetition of pressure to help warm the body as well as to open the doors to find depth of the soft tissue.

PNF stretches - PNF is a stretching technique utilized to increase ROM and flexibility. With a bit of a tug and pull or a engagement and resistance between the client and therapist.
